Mornington is a suburb near Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. It is located 46 kilometers (29 miles) southeast of the city’s Central Business District and is ruled by the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. Robertson Drive is in the middle of the city and is a busy thoroughfare. There are numerous eateries and picnic areas there.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Terrain
There are undulating hills in the Mornington Peninsula Shire. Few of its slopes are too high for urban development, and it lacks significant mountains or flood plains. Its shoreline is divided into four areas. Along Port Phillip Bay’s coastline, beaches predominate with the occasional cliff.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Outside Environment
The oceanic climate in Mornington features pleasant winters with relatively infrequent periods below freezing and warm, occasionally scorching summers.
Mornington is renowned for its beaches and “village” atmosphere. Melburnians travel to Mornington for day outings to see the bay beaches and wineries in the region. The local beach and waterfront area are connected by the town center.
Exposed Aggregate Path at Robertson Drive
The project, which was finished in May 2020, included a 3D landscaping design and exposed aggregate path service. The project’s location in Mornington was in the middle of a commercial neighborhood, and there were a few eateries close by, making it a hub of activity for locals. We created a 3D landscape design using an application that was identical to the actual location. It assisted the client in selecting a particular design. We had to keep in mind three key components for the project: material quality, utility, design, and landscape.
In-situ Concrete Outdoor Sitting at Robertson Drive
To facilitate and attract the public, the area needed something that appeals to the public. To achieve this, we required a design that was visually appealing and could offer a spot to relax, wait, and take in the surroundings.
Our team built a patio in the shape of a hexagon that provided space for various plant species to flourish, acted as a canvas for landscape design, and, most significantly, satisfied the requirement for public seating at Robertson Drive. We saved time, money, and space because the patio was made of concrete and had six benches extending from each corner of the hexagon.
The client was satisfied with the work we did there, and the before and after pictures of the area are full of wonder for the viewers. Overall, the project was a wonderful experience, and we had a good time out there.
